Dates of coverage
It is a requirement of Immigration New Zealand that you hold insurance to the expiry date of your student visa. You are liable for deportation if you do not hold insurance until that date.
The university is responsible for ensuring you have insurance cover for the dates of your chosen course of study. Beyond that date it is the student's responsibility to arrange and to ensure that they have cover.
You will not be able to enrol at the University of Waikato without a compliant insurance policy.
