Te Kura Toi Tangata (The School of Education) is committed to the education and development of Māori. We cater for students seeking support and teaching qualifications, teachers interested in professional development and researchers keen to contribute new knowledge.

Adjacent to the Faculty is Te Kohinga Mārama Marae; a focal point for pōwhiri and hui. The marae can also be used as an educational resource and a venue for visiting schools. Te Kōtihitihi – Ngā Tuhinga Reo Māori is the University’s journal, which accepts submissions from students and staff.
