Welcome to Orientation!
Orientation is the time for new students to get acquainted with the University! Find out where things are, how to use our systems, what spaces are available for you to enjoy and who will support you during your time studying with us.
Academic Orientation will run over the first week of the Orientation Experience and is specifically designed for new students to help you settle into University study. Essential presentations will be hosted on campus so that you get all the information and support you need for your first year of study, as well as plenty of fun activities throughout the week.
O' Week will run over the second week of the Orientation Experience. Hosted by the Waikato Students’ Union, O' Week is meant for both current students and new students to have fun and make connections. There will be activities, competitions and prizes up for grabs. Orientation information can be found in the WaikatoUni app, which provides a single place to access important tools and resources that will help you succeed. To access the orientation, make sure to download the WaikatoUni app (available on Google Play and the App Store) or visit the online webpage, and click on the ‘schedule’ tile. If you wish to attend any in-person events, please let us know in the link provided in the event programme.
