Kaimai Shuttle
The University offers a free first-in, first served shuttle service between the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses. This service is available to enrolled students who live in one region and are required to travel from one campus to the other for classes, research supervision, or matters that are related to their university study.
The Kaimai Shuttle runs Monday to Friday during teaching weeks of Trimesters A, B and C, and teaching periods G and H (excluding public holidays). It does not run during teaching recesses, study and exam weeks. The shuttle service is also available to staff.
The Kaimai Shuttle will arrive and depart from the following locations:

Register for the Shuttle
Students must be registered to use this service.
To register, email uwt@waikato.ac.nz and include your name and student ID. Once registered you will receive an email confirming how to book your seat.
Staff don't need to register, however they do need to book each journey.

The conditions of use for the Kaimai Shuttle as as follows:
- All bookings must be made in advance and are confirmed on a first-in, first-served basis
- All passengers must check-in for every journey by showing their Student ID card to the driver so that their booking can be recorded and confirmed
- The availability of the service is not guaranteed, and may be affected by circumstances outside of the University’s control
- While the university endeavours to supply the service, it will not be responsible for delay or non-availability
- The service is a contracted service and the university is not responsible for the acts or omissions of of the service provider
- For the consideration of others, eating hot foods is not allowed and noise must be kept to a minimum, with headphones used for audio devices
