Educational Leadership Subject regulations
This subject focuses on critical inquiry into the skills and knowledge needed by educational leaders to provide high quality and socially just education experiences and opportunities. Study in this field examines the personal, contextual, political, cultural, and economic influences which shape the work of educational leaders in a range of settings.

PGCert(EdLeadership) The qualification regulations define the Postgraduate Certificate. Students must take 60 points from the subject of Educational Leadership. Within the Postgraduate Certificate a specialisation is available in Coaching and Mentoring, which requires EDLED503 and EDLED506.

PGDip(EdLeadership) To complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, students must take 120 points at 500 level, including EDLED501, EDLED502, and at least a further 30 points from the Educational Leadership subject. 30 points may be taken from another Postgraduate Diploma subject.

MEdLeadership To complete the Master of Educational Leadership, students must take 180 points at 500 level, including EDLED501, EDLED502, and one of EDUCA500, EDUCA557, or MAOED500, and one of a Directed Study equivalent to 30 points, or a Dissertation equivalent to 60 points, or a Thesis equivalent to 90 points.
Students will normally be expected to focus their independent research on a topic related to Educational Leadership.
Optional papers will be selected from the papers listed in the Educational Leadership subject, or 30 points may be selected from outside the field of the degree.
