Ben Redder
Kia ora, my name is Ben, and I am a recently conferred history doctorate from the University of Waikato, specialising in the representation of history through historical video games with a passion for games set in late Medieval history. As one of many etuts within our fantastic team, my background in PhD research has allowed me ample experience to accommodate some of our current endeavours involving online tech assistance with our current doctoral students, including thesis formatting and referencing systems such as Endnote. When I am not working as an etut and have some free time, you will find me in the Middle Ages as I try to do historical research while surviving plagues, wars, and fire-breathing dragons within a video game world.
If you are struggling with current e-learning technology and apps and you happen to be at the university on a Wednesday, come on over to see me at the etuts office.

Fréya Tuson
Kia ora, I’m Fréya (like the bread). I am currently working towards my Master of Arts in English at the UoW Hamilton campus. I have been a tutor and a student so have experience working at either side of the university world. I am super happy to assist with any concerns and if there is anything I don’t know I am a pro at googling and finding other people that can help. In my spare time I love spending time with my partner, three kids and cooking.
Lev Villamar-Hely

I also have a background in computer science - in particular, human-computer interaction - which has given me a unique perspective on the intersection between technology and human behaviour. Along with my technical knowledge, I have developed strong interpersonal skills that allow me to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, including students and staff. I'm dedicated to helping others succeed with academic technologies and am committed to facilitating their growth and development.
Maryam Al Aufi
Kia ora, I am Maryam Al Aufi. Currently, I'm an International PhD student exploring the realm of quality assurance within tertiary education. Originally from Oman, my journey has taken me across borders to pursue my academic passion in New Zealand. I find immense joy and satisfaction in imparting knowledge and helping others with their teaching and learning technology needs. When I'm not studying, I'm off on adventures. I love traveling to new places and learning about different ways of life. It's like a big adventure that helps me grow. I also love hiking – walking in nature and challenging myself. It's super peaceful out there! Need assistance? Drop by the eTuts office – we're here to support you!
