We are partnered with two leading internship providers, offering internship options in a wide variety of sectors in Europe, the USA, Canada, Asia, Australia and Latin America! All programmes include accommodation, 24/7 support, cultural and social events, and career training.

Why Intern Abroad?

With a global internship, you'll build valuable job skills, such as language proficiency, cultural training, adaptability, and communication. Whatever setting you find yourself in after graduation, you'll be grateful for the variety of hard and soft skills you gained while interning abroad.

Duration

The programmes range from 1-3 months and have rolling start dates so you can start anytime! The best time does tend to be over C Trimester.

Cost

There is a cost for these internships, however, Waikato students receive a partnership discount and are considered for the Global Experiences Travel Award.

When you do an internship, instead of paying tuition fees, you pay a programme fee directly to the internship provider. This fee will vary depending on location, programme type and programme length. Credit

While our global internships are currently non-credit-bearing, students are encouraged to speak to their division directly if they want to arrange credit.
