Celebrating our diverse culture
In our culture, we celebrate our indigenous people, Maori, and their cultures and traditions are woven into various aspects of New Zealand life. At the airport, spot Maori translations on signage, and during your travels take the opportunity to watch a spine-tingling haka (traditional war dance) performance. Waikato proudly has the highest percentage of Maori domestic students compared to the other New Zealand universities.
