For the third consecutive year the School of Engineering is inviting secondary school students, particularly those in years 10-13, to come and visit us for a busy day of engineering challenges.
Engineering New Zealand
Engineering New Zealand is a non-profit organisation which promotes the integrity and interests of its members, the profession and the industry. ENZ have a wide variety of information on their website for anyone wanting to learn more about Engineering including resources, news, events and much more. Seven of our BE (Hons) programmes are also accredited by ENZ.
Science Learning Hub
The Science Learning Hub is based right here at the University of Waikato. It helps to connect scientists with students, teachers and the wider community. With almost 10,000 STEM resources available, it is sure to help enrich teaching and learning. Staff from the SLH were involved in developing content for the new Home Learning/Papa Kāinga TV channels launched in April 2020 to help students learn amidst Covid-19.
Engineering e2e Pathways Project
The Engineering Education to Employment (Engineering e2e ) Secondary-Tertiary Pathways Project aims to increase the number of Level 6 and 7 engineering graduates in New Zealand. e2e ensures that New Zealanders are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need for lifelong success through providing thousands of courses to hundreds of thousands of learners.
