Ka whakauruhia te huhua o ngaa take aa iwi. A critical examination of theories of first and second language acquisition, learning, teaching and assessment. The application of these theories to the teaching of te reo Maori or thought te reo Maori will be explored. A range of issues relating to Maori language development will be introduced from a socio-cultural perspective.
