My Experience
Developing the potential of Māori learners has been an integral part of my philosophy on education since I embarked on teaching as a career, supported by local iwi and kaumātua to fulfil my dream of teaching in a rumaki unit. Māori learners in all settings hold my passion, with a particular focus on the success of learners in a Māori medium context. Learning and teaching mā te reo Māori is a valid and proven pathway to ensure cultural identity and language is intact and developed for each ākonga and their whānau.
