My Experience
Forming positive relationships and empowering others to take action helps to embed new initiatives and make positive change sustainable. Respecting a school's context, goals, vision and values is important to me and comes from a place of manākitanga and whanaungatanga.
I love science, video games and am a tech nerd so anything innovative or digital is going to get my attention! Exploring new technologies and finding innovative uses for existing tech provides enormous opportunities to engage and challenge learners.
I enjoy supporting teachers to understand the digital world so they can lead with confidence, demonstrate ako with their learners, and feel inspired to keep learning. We have a fantastic nature of science (NOS) curriculum in New Zealand which complements every other learning area.
I am passionate about unpacking NOS with teachers and supporting them to be confident at integrating more authentic science contexts into their curricula.
